Interlocutor to reach Tripura on May 8: Pradyot

Agartala, May 5: TIPRA Motha Party chief Pradyot Kishore Debbarma said the interlocutor, as promised by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is scheduled to reach Tripura on May 8 next. Debbarma also informed the media that he would be meeting Shah on May 10 next.
Debbarma while speaking with the media after arriving in Agartala on Friday took a jibe at the people who ridiculed the TMP relating to his long absence from State politics and said, “Critics will become silent after the interlocutor appointed for constitutional solutions for tribal people of the State arrives on May 8 next”.
The TMP chief also revealed he had spoken to the Union Minister earlier today and informed the media that he would meet with Amit Shah once again on May 10.
Debbarma also said he will meet with the leaders of the party and tribal communities to discuss several issues, and things will gradually take shape.
Besides, The TMP chief also expressed deep concerns at the ongoing violence in Manipur and said he is willing to help the students including the medical students stranded in Manipur to return home.
Earlier, urging for peace and normalcy in Manipur, Pradyot Kishore, in a social media post, wrote, “Appeal for peace in Manipur! Violence amongst our own brothers and sister will get us nowhere! All matters can be resolved when we sit across the table and discuss! Tripura has a long association with Manipur and the violence there deeply pains me !”
