The Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) held a joining program on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of Agartala Press Club, marking a significant expansion of its grassroots support.
A total of 156 voters from 39 families formally joined the party during the event, including Suku Ranjan Debbarma, former General Secretary of the Tripura Upajati Karmachari Sangha (TUKS), signaling a notable shift in local political alignment.
Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, who presided over the program, welcomed the new members by handing over the party flag and expressed optimism about IPFT’s growing influence.
Minister Noatia stated, “I strongly believe that in the coming days, IPFT will not only strengthen its base in Dhalai district but will also emerge as a powerful force across the entire state.”
He further encouraged the new entrants to actively contribute to organizational development and uphold the party’s vision for indigenous empowerment and regional progress. The event concluded with a pledge to work collectively toward a stronger and more inclusive IPFT.
