Jana Vishwas Yatra: Pratima, Jishnu welcome Rath in Sonamura

Sonamura Jan 07: The Jana Vishwas Rath that was flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Sabroom on January 5 last entered the Sonamura sub-division after crossing the Belonia sub-division on Saturday.
Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik along with other leaders welcomed the Rath at Bhawanipur village after crossing the jurisdiction of the Belonia sub-division. Then the Rath covered around 50 km during the day and reached Nalchhar today evening. Crowds on both sides of the road cheered and welcomed the Rath.
On its way to Nalchhar several public meetings were held in which Pratima Bhowmik and later Jishnu Dev Varma addressed the crowd.
Referring to the 2018 Assembly outcome in which BJP did not perform well, Pratima Bhowmik said, a section of the voters made mistakes during the previous Assembly polls, but, they will not repeat the mistake as people during the last almost five years realized BJP works as it promises.
She exuded confidence that the people of the Sonamura sub-division will rally behind the BJP in upcoming Assembly polls. She also pointed out that the Government stood by the side of the people without considering political affiliation during the Covid Pandemic.
Bhowmik also highlighted developmental initiatives of the government for the welfare of the common people.
At Nalchhar, Jishnu Dev Varma said raised his voice against the previous government. He said the incumbent government had to toil hard to make progress in the last 5 years after 25 years of ruling by the Leftists.
