Janajati welfare Tripura govt’s topmost priority: Rampada

Agartala, Jan 16: The state government has taken various initiatives for all-round development of Janajati people, said Janajati Welfare minister Rampada Jamatia.
He said, development of infrastructure and communication in the Janajati areas is a priority of the present state government.
The estimated project cost for the proposed ST girls’ hostel is Rs. 3 crore.
After laying the foundation stone of a 50-seated ST girls’ hostel of Mungiakami English Medium Higher Secondary School, he also said, the state government already increased the expenditure for infrastructure development in the existing boarding houses for Janajati students and stipend.
Besides, 400 coaching centres have been opened across the state to impart quality education among the Janajati students.
MLA Dr. Atul Debbarma, chairman of Mungiakami BAC Sunil Debbarma, deputy director of Janajati Welfare department Anandhari Jamatia and others were present in the programme.
Meanwhile, the Janajati Welfare minister also laid the Foundation Stone of 480-seated Eklavya Model Residential School at Mungiakami and Debtamura ST girls’ hostel at Killa.
