Kalyanpur Mandal extends Rs 50,000 aid for treatment of ailing girl

The Kalyanpur Mandal Committee has extended financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the family of a girl undergoing treatment for a serious illness in Kolkata.

Disha Das, daughter of Gopal Das of Gopalnagar area under Madhya Kalyanpur Gram Panchayat in the Kalyanpur-Pramodnagar Assembly constituency, is currently admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata.

According to family members, her health condition deteriorated recently, prompting her transfer to Kolkata for advanced medical treatment. Doctors have advised surgery, which involves substantial expenditure, they said.

The family has been facing financial difficulties in meeting the treatment costs, sources said.

In view of the situation, the Kalyanpur Mandal Committee provided financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to support the girl's treatment.

Representatives of the committee said the assistance was extended on humanitarian grounds and expressed willingness to support the family further if required.

Family members thanked the committee for the financial aid and appealed to well-wishers and members of the public to come forward and assist in meeting the medical expenses.

Members of the committee also wished Disha a speedy recovery and urged people to pray for her well-being.

Locals expressed hope that with continued treatment and support from the community, she would recover and return to normal life.
