KBI PC become Udaipur Sub-div Champ

For the first time ever, KBI Play Centre has been crowned the best in the Udaipur subdivision. In a thrilling final match, KBI Play Centre defeated Jamjuri Play Centre ‘A’ team by 5 runs in the Himangshu Memorial U-13 Cricket Tournament organised by the Subdivision Cricket Association. The match was played on Sunday at the KBI Ground.

Sahin Hossain delivered a stellar all-round performance for the winning side. KBI opted to bat first after winning the toss in the morning and posted 177 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 40 overs. Batting at number four, Sahin Hossain remained unbeaten on 94, scoring the runs off 81 balls with seven boundaries and seven sixes. For the team, Ayush Chowdhury contributed 31 runs off 43 balls with two boundaries and two sixes, while Suhambir Debnath scored 14 runs off 51 balls with two boundaries. The team also received 21 runs in extras.

For Jamjuri Play Centre, Saurav Das took 2 wickets for 28 runs and Alok Shil bagged 2 wickets for 38 runs.

In reply, Jamjuri Play Centre managed to score 172 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated overs. Opener Karanjit Dewanji top-scored with 90 off 117 balls, hitting 11 boundaries. Alok Shil scored 27 off 34 balls with a boundary and a six, while Ayush Vaidya added 17 off 38 balls with three boundaries. The team earned 23 runs in extras.

For KBI Play Centre, Sahin Hossain also shone with the ball, taking 2 wickets for just 12 runs.

Winning the title for the first time, the victorious players and officials celebrated jubilantly on the ground.
