Bishalgarh, Aug 13: In a tragic accident a labour namely Babul Mia (45) from Gazaria area under Bishalgarh Police Station died on spot while cutting down tree.

The incident took place at North Veluarchar area under Kalamchoura Police Station in Sonamura Sub-division on Saturday morning.

Reportedly, while cutting down a large tree it suddenly collapsed and fell on Babul Mia that led to his death on spot.

Transported to Boxanagar Primary Health Centre by locals the doctor on duty declared him to be brought-dead.

Police personnel of Bishalgarh Police Station reached the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after an autopsy.
