LoP Jiten Choudhury visits family of late intern doctor Saptarshi Das

The tragic death of intern doctor Saptarshi Das in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh has cast a pall of grief across Tripura. On Tuesday, Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Choudhury visited the family residence of the deceased at Ramnagar, Agartala, to offer condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved household.

Choudhury prayed for the eternal peace of the young doctor’s soul and expressed his deep sympathy to the parents and relatives, acknowledging the immense sorrow caused by the untimely demise. He assured the family that the state shares their grief and recognizes the loss of a promising medical professional whose career was cut short in tragic circumstances.

The accident, which occurred on the Delhi–Lucknow National Highway, claimed the lives of four medical students, including Saptarshi Das, who had recently begun his internship after completing his MBBS.

His mortal remains were brought back to Agartala after a long and difficult journey, where relatives, neighbors, and community members gathered to pay their last respects.
