Mangled Swift Car found in Agartala sparks fear of attack or accident

Panic gripped residents of Gokulnagar on Tuesday morning when a severely damaged Swift car was discovered lying in the roadside jungle near Rastar Matha along the Agartala–Sabroom road. 

Locals on their morning walk were alarmed to find the vehicle completely wrecked, with its number plate shattered into pieces and scattered around.

According to residents, the incident likely occurred late at night. While some believe it was a road accident, others suspect a planned attack, pointing out that the rear portion of the car was torn apart while the front remained largely intact. This unusual damage pattern has fueled speculation that the vehicle was deliberately targeted.

Police sources stated that the mishap took place around 3:00 am on Tuesday, though no individuals were found at the site. The identity of the car’s owner, its origin, and the circumstances leading to the destruction remain unclear.

Though no casualties have been reported, the discovery has triggered widespread anxiety in the locality. Some residents alleged that the attack may have been linked to disputes among drug traffickers, suggesting the vehicle was assaulted during the course of illicit trade.
