Militants’ movement reported in Tripura’s Ampi

With the election is drawing nearer, movement of suspected armed militants was being reported from remote Bata Para under Ampi block in Gomati district of Tripura.
A group of extremists (suspected NLFT group) was reportedly seen at Bata Para, a Reang dominated habitation, about 12 kms from Twidu market.
After receiving information on the extremist movement, staff from Twidu and Ampi police stations rushed to Bata Para and interacted with the local villagers.
The policemen were informed that a group of extremists had passed through Bata Para. However, police was yet to reveal any clue about the extremist.
On the other hand, extremist movement was recently seen in Killa side too, sources said. Many local villagers were reported to be unsettled after noticing the extremist movement anticipating police actions and other related fall outs.
