Minister Bikash Debbarma rallies support; Calls for peaceful voting

As campaigning for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections entered its final phase, political activity in Teliamura subdivision has reached fever pitch. On Friday, a massive bike rally in support of BJP candidate Billu Jamatia turned into a show of strength, drawing more than 1,500 riders and supporters.

At the launch of the rally near Chakmaghat Barrage, Minister for Tribal Welfare Bikash Debbarma addressed party workers and the public in a confident tone. He declared, “Terror cannot stop the BJP. People want to vote in a peaceful environment, and in that environment they will give their verdict in our favour.”

The rally, which wound its way through Mungiakami, North and South Maharani, and Kalyanpur before concluding at Manikbazar, was marked by slogans, enthusiasm, and a strong election atmosphere. Candidate Billu Jamatia also held a road show during the procession, directly engaging with residents and highlighting promises of improved drinking water, education, healthcare, and a self-reliant ADC.

Observers noted that the rally has intensified political activity in Teliamura, with the BJP projecting organizational strength and confidence ahead of polling. The party’s campaign has been marked by large-scale rallies, meetings, and outreach programs, while opposition parties continue their own aggressive campaigns.
