
In a decisive move to accelerate Tripura’s healthcare expansion, Cooperation and Minority Welfare Minister Sukla Charan Noatia chaired a crucial review meeting at his Secretariat chamber on Tuesday, focusing on the establishment of the proposed New Medical College at Jolaibari.

The Minister underscored that this landmark project is being developed under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme of the Minority Welfare Department, aimed at strengthening medical infrastructure and education across the state.Â

He reviewed the project blueprint, land allocation, and infrastructural requirements to ensure seamless and timely execution.

Valuable inputs and progress updates were shared by senior officials, including the Secretary, Health Department, Secretary, Minority Welfare Department, Chief Engineer, PWD (Building), Joint Director, Elementary Education, and Deputy Director, Minority Welfare.

Noatia emphasized the government’s vision of transforming Tripura into a premier healthcare hub, ensuring that quality medical facilities reach every corner of the state.Â
