Agartala Nov 08: Only dwelling place along with furniture and valuables reduced to ashes for not paying commission from government house loan.

The incident took place in Ward No 3 under Lakshmipur Gram Panchayat of Maharanipur under Teliamura Police Station.

According to information, residence of one Bikash Roy in Maharanipur area was set to fire by miscreants.

Later, the incident was reported to Teliamura fire department by the family members and locals.

Teliamura Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of local residents after long efforts.

According to Bikash Roy's family sources, the amount of damage due to this arson is about Rs 1.5 lakh.

On the other hand, wife of house owner Bikash Roy alleged, “For past few days, unknown miscreants have been demanding Rs 5000 and also wrote the same in the bathroom of the house”.

“In the dark of night, unknown miscreants keep on knocking the door and warned to cut off my son’s neck if Rs 5000 is not paid to them”, she added.

However, according to local sources, a close relative of Bikash Roy's house has been perpetrating these incidents.

Bikash Roy has lost everything due to arson.

However, local residents believe that there is a lot of mystery hidden in this fire incident.
