Mob assault in Teliamura: Bihari youth rescued amid child trafficking suspicion

In a shocking incident on Saturday morning at Icharbil Sholghoria under Teliamura police station. Local residents, suspecting child trafficking, caught hold of an unfamiliar man and subjected him to severe beating, sparking widespread unrest in the area.

According to local sources, the man was seen engaging in suspicious conversation with children, which quickly aroused doubts among the villagers. Within moments, an agitated crowd surrounded him and began assaulting him. The mob violence left the man bloodied and lying on the road.

Police from Teliamura station rushed to the spot upon receiving information and managed to bring the situation under control. The injured man was rescued and admitted to Teliamura sub-divisional hospital for treatment.

Authorities later confirmed that the individual is a resident of Bihar. However, the reasons behind his presence in the area remain unclear, and he is currently being interrogated.
