With an increase in the Covid sample testing, Tripura continues to register a hike in the positivity rate.

The Health department already sounded an alert over the Covid surge and asked the administration to ensure that the people wear mask and maintain Covid appropriate behavior in public/ crowded places like markets in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

As per the latest report, out of the total 4022 samples tested, more 414 new positive cases were detected in the state with the positivity rate of 10.29 per cent.

With the report of Covid infection among more 414 people, the number of active cases has now reached 2252 while 232 Corona-infected persons have recovered on Thursday.

The district-wise positive case count over the past 24 hours included West Tripura (137), South Tripura (84), Sepahijala (21), Dhalai (40), Khowai (12), Unakoti (32), Gomati (42) and North Tripura (46).
