Agartala, Feb 09: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday said the election manifesto is not just a piece of paper but the party’s commitment to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Tripura.
“When other parties release their election manifestos, their own leaders and party workers don't take it seriously. Then why should the people take these parties seriously? When BJP comes with the vision document, it is not merely a piece of paper of jargon of words. It is our commitment towards the people. It is a roadmap for BJP’s governance,” he said.
After releasing the BJP’s poll manifesto in Tripura, he promised DTH model-- Development, Transformation and Harmony to build Unnat Tripura, Shresta Tripura.
Addressing the programme, he said, the BJP not only fulfilled its promises in the Vision Document- 2018 but also implemented many works which were not promised.
According to Nadda, BJP has changed the political culture in Tripura.
“Tripura was once known for blockades and insurgency. The state is now known for peace, prosperity and development,” he said.
He also said that the people never saw any party except BJP coming out with the report card.
Nadda expressed hope that the Bharatiya Janata Party led coalition would once again form its Government in Tripura which would pave the way for continued growth and development of the state.
