A newly constructed building of the Philanthropy Club at Kunjaban Manipuri Para in Kalyanpur was inaugurated on Friday, marking another addition to the area’s social infrastructure.
The building has been constructed with financial assistance from the MLA Development Fund with the objective of providing a dedicated space for community activities and encouraging young people to participate in constructive social initiatives.
The new club building was formally inaugurated by Pinaki Das Chowdhury, MLA of the 27-Kalyanpur-Pramodenagar Assembly constituency, in the presence of Kalyanpur Mandal president Nitai Ball, Mandal general secretary Asim Deb Roy, other party leaders and members of the club.
The inauguration programme witnessed participation from local residents and club members, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the area.
A club building can serve as more than just a physical facility, providing a platform for youth engagement, community interaction, social activities and organisational programmes. The newly inaugurated facility is expected to facilitate various social and public welfare initiatives in Kunjaban Manipuri Para.
The building may also be utilised for community programmes, organisational meetings and activities aimed at addressing issues of public interest. The initiative is being viewed as a step towards strengthening the social infrastructure and creating greater opportunities for community participation at the local level.
Residents expressed hope that the new facility would encourage greater involvement of local youth in social service, community development and other welfare-oriented activities in the days ahead.
