A new recreational facility is taking shape in Kalyanpur, with the upcoming Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Children’s Park expected to provide a dedicated space for children while adding to the aesthetic appeal of the area.

Located near Kalyanpur School, the park is currently undergoing construction and beautification works. The facility is being developed with the objective of creating a pleasant environment where children and adolescents can enjoy recreational activities, while residents can also spend their leisure time.

Kalyanpur-Pramodnagar MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury on Monday inspected the ongoing construction and beautification work at the site. He was accompanied by Asim Deb Roy and others.

During the inspection, the MLA reviewed the progress of the construction, various aspects of the beautification work and plans to further enhance the park’s appeal once completed.

The need for a dedicated recreational space for children has been felt in Kalyanpur for some time. The new park is expected to address this requirement by providing children with a safe and attractive environment for recreation and outdoor activities. Once operational, the facility will also offer parents and other residents a place to spend their leisure hours.

During the visit, emphasis was placed on completing the remaining work at the earliest. The park is expected to be formally inaugurated soon after the construction and finishing works are completed.

The development of the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Children’s Park is being viewed as another addition to Kalyanpur’s ongoing development initiatives, which include not only infrastructure but also projects aimed at improving public amenities, recreation and the overall appearance of the locality.

With the park set to open shortly, residents are looking forward to having a new recreational space that will enhance the area’s surroundings and provide children with a safe and enjoyable place to spend their free time.
