Agartala, Nov 16: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said nine super-specialty departments would soon be introduced in GBP hospital, the prime healthcare facility of the state.
The new facilities would ensure improved healthcare to the people, he said, after inaugurating a 50-bedded hospital and new building of Panjiham HS School in Karbook sub-division.
The Chief Minister said, earlier the people of the state used to spend huge amount of money for availing treatment outside the state. But, the number of refer cases has now come down following development of the healthcare system.
Speaking in the programme, Dr. Saha said, the present state government is working with a priority to meet the basic needs of the people. He also said, the state government is working with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Viswas’ for socio-economic development of all sections of people.
MP Rebati Tripura, MLA Ranjit Das, District Magistrate of Gomati district- Govekar Mayur Ratilal, Higher Education director N.C. Sharma, social activist Abhishek Debroy, CMO Gomati Dr. Nirumohan Jamatia and chairman of BAC, Karbook- Asim Tripura were also present.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister on Wednesday inaugurated a 100-MT rice godown and a Farmer Knowledge Centre at Gonda Twisa in Dhalai district.
MP Rebati Tripura, MDC Bhumikananda Reang, Director of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare department- Saradindu Chowdhury, DM Dhalai Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, SP Dhalai Ramesh Yadav and others were present.
