North Tripura DM launches unique initiative to promote positive work culture

Dharmanagar, May 10: The North Tripura District Administration has launched a new workplace recognition initiative designed to encourage professionalism, dedication, and teamwork among the employees.

The programme includes monthly honours for outstanding staff members along with birthday celebrations aimed at creating a supportive and employee-friendly office atmosphere.

The initiative was highlighted during the district’s monthly staff meeting conducted recently under the leadership of District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran.

During the meeting, selected officials and employees were felicitated with the “Best Employee of the Month” award in recognition of their efficiency, commitment, and responsible service.

One of the key award recipients was Kaushik Bhowmik, who serves as the Personal Assistant to the District Magistrate.

He was recognised for his active contribution during the Dharmanagar Assembly by-election and preparations linked to the upcoming 2026 TTAADC General Elections.

Officials particularly appreciated his creative initiative of producing a voter awareness song intended to educate and motivate first-time voters. The awareness campaign song was circulated extensively across various parts of the Dharmanagar Assembly constituency to strengthen voter participation and public engagement during the election process.

District Magistrate Chandni Chandran praised the innovative effort and acknowledged the importance of creative public outreach in strengthening democratic participation.

Apart from honouring high-performing employees, the administration also organised a birthday celebration for staff members born in April. Employees gathered to cut a cake and participate in the informal celebration, reflecting the administration’s focus on building stronger workplace relationships and boosting morale.

According to district officials, the combined approach of recognition and employee engagement is helping create a healthier and more cooperative office environment.

The initiative has already drawn positive feedback from different sections of the administration and local community, with many appreciating the effort to make government workplaces more motivating and people-centric.
