NSUI protests against deteriorating education system, detained by Police

Agartala Aug 01: The NSUI activists were detained by police on Monday as they tried to gherao Tripura Chief Minister's residence to protest against paralyzed education system in Tripura.
Complaints about poor condition of education system in the state are received from various places. Prominent allegations amid others are teachers’ crisis. In this situation, students from various state government schools are seen protesting in different parts of the state demanding adequate number of teachers in schools. Road blockades are going on at different places.
Monday, raising allegations of poor education system in state under BJP governance, NSUI Tripura Unit started protest in capital city.
The leaders and activists of the organization marched in Agartala city and tried to lay sieze in front of Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha’s official residence, but the police blocked their way.
State NSUI president Samrat Roy led the day’s protest. Talking to the reporters Roy alleged, “Students who are protesting against the deteriorated condition of education system in Tripura are being attacked by miscreants”.
Condemning the assaults on students, he raised anger against Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha adding that the CM is silent over the issue.
Later all the agitators of Pradesh NSUI were detained by Police.
