Open Intl Kickboxing Cup: Tripura bag 10 medals including two Gold

Tripura’s kickboxers registered a remarkable success at the Fifth National Open International Kickboxing Cup held in Delhi. The event took place from February 4 to 8 at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium in the national capital, with players from 22 countries participating. Six players from the state represented the country and competed for medals.Tripura’s kickboxers won a total of 10 medals, including two gold medals. The gold medals were won by the state’s emerging talents Biraj Banik and Mrinmoyee Sutradhar. Silver medals were claimed by Monalisa Biswas, Kasni Kar, Priyangshi Som and Biraj Banik. Bronze medals were won by Kasni Kar, Priyangshi Som, Mrinmoyee Sutradhar and Sujit Shil. Tripura Kickboxing Association secretary Pinaki Chakraborty informed media about the results. He congratulated the medal-winning players and advised special attention to ensure that this streak of success continues in the future.
