Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Campaign 2026 launched in Tripura; CM Manik Saha stresses grassroots strengthening

The Tripura BJP has formally rolled out its Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mahabhiyan 2026, with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurating the programme at the state party headquarters on Wednesday. The initiative, aimed at strengthening organizational capacity down to the mandal level, is being seen as a major step toward consolidating the party’s grassroots presence.

Addressing party functionaries and mandal trainers, Dr. Saha underscored the importance of structured training in building disciplined and people-centric leadership. “Training is a part and parcel of our organization. Like previous years, this year too our karyakartas are undergoing sessions on ideology, governance, and development works carried out under the BJP-led government,” he said. 

He added that the modules are prepared under the guidance of the central leadership, with Tripura BJP’s chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty leading this year’s programme.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the campaign draws inspiration from the ideals of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, aiming to instill ideological clarity and strengthen the party’s outreach at the grassroots. “Through this Mahabhiyan, we expect greater momentum in organizational activities and stronger bonds with the people,” he remarked.

Tripura BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, who also addressed the gathering, described the workshop as a crucial step in building a more cohesive and resilient organization. “Capable workers and a strong organization are the twin messages of this campaign. Such initiatives will sharpen the skills of our karyakartas and reinforce their ideological commitment,” he said.

The launch event witnessed the presence of ministers, MLAs, district presidents, and senior office-bearers, reflecting the importance attached to the training drive. 

The sessions will cover a wide range of subjects, including party philosophy, organizational discipline, and strategies for effective public engagement.
