Agartala Jan 14: CPI-M Banamalipur assembly constituency on Saturday organized a massive bike rally with huge number of party activists betting on the points of ‘Restoration of democracy’ and ‘establishment of rule of law’.
The rally was led by local CPI-M leader Amal Chakraborty, CPI-M candidate who lost the 2018 assembly polls in the year 2018.
Talking to the reporters from the rally, Amal Chakraborty castigated the ruling BJP-led state government over its claims of good governance.
He said, “In these 59 months of BJP regime, no opposition political party were allowed to exercise their democratic rights. Repeated attacks on opposition party offices, cadres have been organized by the ruling party backed miscreants. Even during this campaigning time in view of the assembly polls, opposition party flags festoons are not allowed to be put across the city and other parts of the state”.
“The people of Tripura are already aware of the ;fake promises’ made to them prior to the 2018 assembly elections”, he added.
Chakraborty further said, “The party that frequently needs to change state president, chief minister in a single term is definitely not capable of providing ‘Sushashan’ to the people of Tripura”.
“BJP is a party that could not even form a full fledged state cabinet in its full term of five years. There is no health minister in the state even, also, at least 5 party MLAs have resigned alleging mis-governance, corruption and many others factors”, he added.
Talking about the issue of CPI-M Congress alliance ahead of polls, the CPI-M leaders said, “It is a decision made for the welfare of the people of Tripura to oust the BJP from power and to free the citizens from the misrule of BJP”.
The leaders further made it clear that they will continue movements to unseat the BJP from power.
