Agartala June 04: Police of Madhupur police station on Saturday late night seized a lorry from East Senapati para under the leadership of Sepahijala SP.

Later, the vehicle was brought to the Bishalgarh police station and unloading of the same revealed large amount of contraband cough syrup that was carried in between animal feed for Debipur cow shed.

DCM Bishalgarh Prasenjit Das said the market value of recovered narcotic cough syrup is crores of rupees.

Vehicle driver Ankush Shukla and co-driver Rajan Singh have been detained by police.
