Agartala Jan 16: With an aim to provide healthcare in rural pockets, especially in the inaccessible areas under TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council), TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman on Tuesday flagged off 3 more Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) from Agartala Rajbari.
These Mobile Medical Units will travel across villages in the state to ensure that proper medical facilities are provided to everyone in need.
Speaking to Tripura Times, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman said, “The ADC administration has partnered with Apollo Hostipals to launch the Mobile Medical Units that will provide healthcare at the doorstep of the villagers”.
“Each MMU van is equipped with latest technology medical equipment’s that can even diagnose early stage of cancer. Various other facilities like eye check-up, ECG and others can be done easily in the medical vans”, he added.
Besides, each MMU will have a qualified doctor, nurse, laboratory technician, essential medicines and diagnostic kits, he added.
Deb Barma further said that doctors across the state associated with Chennai Apollo Hospitals can also be connected in case of emergency.
Notably, the first such MMU was launched in TTAADC headquarters Khumulwng and two others were launched in North Tripura and Tuikarma areas in recent days.
Pradyot added, “Considering the immense necessity more vans were ordered for meeting up with the demand”.
He said, elected to power, the present TTAADC administration under TIPRA Motha has given utmost priority to health care services in the suburbs of Tripura.
