Pradyot hails BJP's win in West Bengal; Calls results a defining moment in Indian Politics

Tipra Motha Party (TMP) founder Pradyot Kishore Deb Barma has congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its sweeping victories in West Bengal, describing the outcome as a “stupendous victory” that marks a turning point in India’s political trajectory.

In a statement posted on social media, Deb Barma credited the success to the combined efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Tripura MP Biplab Kumar Deb, who oversaw the BJP’s campaign in Bengal. “The effort by PM Modi, Amit Shah and in-charge Biplab Deb has resulted in the Trinamool rout,” he wrote in social media, underscoring the scale of the BJP’s performance.

Deb also highlighted the Left’s defeat in Kerala, noting that it ends nearly six decades of communist-led governments in India. “The Left has lost in Kerala, which means there will be no communist government in any state after 60 years,” he observed.

Turning to southern India, Deb pointed to the rise of actor-turned-politician Vijay, who he said has “routed the Dravidian parties” in Tamil Nadu. In the Northeast, he praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, noting that his strong stance on illegal immigration had “reaped rich rewards” at the ballot box.

According to Deb Barma, the outcomes across multiple states reflect a national mood favouring decisive leadership and clear policy direction. He described the BJP’s victories in Bengal and Assam as part of a broader realignment, with voters rejecting instability and opting for governance rooted in development and accountability.
