A day after a massive rally in Agartala, Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman told his workers to launch an intensive campaign in all the blocks, exuding confidence of the party foot soldiers. Stating that his political rally drew extensive response despite attempts to disrupt it, Debbarman said, “The rally acted as a tight slap on the faces of people who had been consistently trying to either stop it or cancel at any cost. I was under immense pressure. But, the people gave answers to all questions. I feel my family got bigger with blessings of people, especially the tiprasa who live in the villages. November 27 is the day when I lost my father and during that day I got the blessings from my bigger family.”
According to Debbarman, guests who had arrived from different states of the North East were extremely excited to witness the cheer and emotion of the crowd gathered at the meeting venue. “I extend my sincere thanks to the people who responded in such a spontaneous way. I also want to thank the police administration for their sincere cooperation. I spoke to DGP, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and other officials of the police department and they were very supportive. After witnessing the rally, I can say with conviction that no one can stop us. We will definitely win and hence we need to work hard. So far I know, a lot of people couldn’t even reach the city as the roads got blocked,” he added.
Urging his workers to conduct meetings and host political activities, he said, “This is the time we need to spread the message of Thansa. The youngsters shouldn't forget that this fight is as much theirs as it is mine. Without rights, life lacks proper meaning. We should no longer be treated as servants of the Agartala. Go and meet people. Make them aware about Thansa. Speak to people who are in CPIM, IPFT, Janajati Morcha and Congress and convince them about our objectives and goals.”
