Agartala Jan 31: TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarman took serious exception to CPM state secretary Jitendra Choudhury's loaded indication that his party was going to support the Marxists in the assembly polls.
In a programme Choudhury commented that he had asked Debbarman to support the CPM and strengthen the opposition to oust the BJP. Debbarman in turn told him that he would inform him about the TIPRA Motha's decision by night.
However, at night Debbarman was contacted he made it clear that there would be no alliance with CPM.
"Sometimes there are rumours that we are going to ally with BJP, sometimes that my sister would be fighting the polls, sometimes that I would be fighting the polls and I am being forced to reply the same thing time and again. How long such dirty politics would continue. I am tired of this", said Debbarman.
When the much hyped Congress- CPM alliance became uncertain and both the parties were going to face each other, the indication that Choudhury sought to drop also referring to the fact that TIPRA Motha did not field any candidate against him -quite expectedly triggered huge reactions and speculations which ultimately turned out to be untrue.
