Pranajit inaugurates mobile medical unit under OTPC CSR activities

Agartala, Oct 29: Minister for Transport Pranajit Singha Roy on Saturday inaugurated a mobile medical unit (healthcare van) introduced by the OTPC (ONGC Tripura Power Company) under its CSR activities.
The mobile health van service has been inaugurated at Tepania block office in a move to ensure door-step medical facility for the community covering Tepania and Killa blocks under Gomati district.
Gomati Zilla Sabhadhipati Swapan Adhikary, MLA Matabari Biplab Kumar Ghosh, CMO Gomati Nirumohan Jamatia, BMS president Goutam Das, chairperson Panchayet Samiti- Jharna Das and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
COO OTPC Sanjay Garhwal, Head (Projects & Services) Tapas Bhowmik and other OTPC officials were also present.
Earlier, OTPC had taken up medical services to the door step at the remotest villages of Gomati and Sepahijala districts of Tripura. Now, with this inauguration of one more Mobile Health Van (MHU), OTPC will extend similar services to all villages of Tepania and Killa blocks under Gomati District.
This MHU vehicle is equipped with advance medical infrastructure and assisted by one Medical Officer, one Nurse and one Pharmacist.
This service will be inclusive of free Doctor Consultation and free medicines as prescribed by the Medical Officer to cater the facility to the beneficiaries 6 days in a week. Daily on average 100-120 patients can be covered in a single/ multiple places.
