Agartala July 22: Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Pratima Bhowmik extended her heartfelt compliments to Droupadi Murmu for being elected as the 15th president of India.

In her social media post, Pratima described victory of Draupadi Murmu as ‘unique instance of glorious participation of women in politics as well as to the highest post in the country’.

“I had the good fortune of being with Droupadi Murmu as candidate of BJP for the post of president; her election to the highest post has generated tremendous enthusiasm among the indigenous tribal people and is a glorious chapter for all”, said Pratima Bhowmik in her social media post.

Droupadi Murmu is the first tribal President of India and second woman to assume nation’s top office.
