Agartala Dec 01: Putting an end to the long wait and criticism, the Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) has finally released the Group C and Group D results on November 30.
Minister of Information and Cultural Affairs who also holds the position of cabinet spokesperson, Sushanta Chowdhury congratulated all the aspiring candidates amid a press conference at the civil secretariat here on Thursday.
Briefing the press on the results, Sushanta Chowdhury said, “The state government believes in transparent recruitment and not in favoritism or party politics in recruitment like that of the previous government”.
“I congratulate the board for being able to accomplish the task of publishing the JRBT Group C and Group D results with transparency and based on merit list”, he added.
Chowdhury further said, “The board has published list of candidates who have cleared the written examination in a 1:3 ratio for Group C that are a total of 2,410 posts and 1:6 ratio for Group D that has a total of 2,500 posts. Break-up for 2,410 posts in Group C includes, LDC-1,500, Agri Asstt. -22, Agri Asstt. (Except TAFS Gr 3)- 443. Jr Operator Pump- 236, Jr. Multitasking operator-209. Besides, a total of 2,500 multi-tasking staff will be recruited in Group D posts”.
Chowdhury further said that the dates of Viva will be declared soon and candidates with PRTC (Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate) shall be given preference in recruitment for 5,000 posts through JRBT.
“The results were likely to be announced long ago but because of a proceeding in Tripura High Court the process got delayed. Moreover, transparent processes take time”, said Sushanta.
Castigating the previous Left Front government, Chowdhury said, “Coming to power in the year 2018, the motto of the state BJP-led government was to provide employment to the youths of the state based on their merit and not like the previous government whose anti-youth policies led to their dark future. There are many such examples in front of us today”.
There was a resentment among the aspirants over the delay of results for long time that led to episodial protests demanding publication of results.
Speaking over this issue, Chowdhury said, “Taking the advantage of this situation, the opposition had framed a conspiracy against the BJP”.
Minister of Labour Department, Bhagaban Das while addressing the press congratulated all the aspirants and hoped best for their future.
Besides, Abhishek Singh, Secretary Govt. of Tripura, Aditi Majumder, Director, JRBT also remained present at the press conference.
