Quilling Art: Tripura youth all set for Guinness Book of World Records

Agartala, May 20: Siddhartha Saha, a 33-year-old youth from Tripura who entered the limelight for his outstanding skills in quilling artworks, is inching close to set Guinness Book of World Records.
The youth, who sincerely started working with quilling papers around 10 years ago, already got recognition in the India Book of Records.
Now, in an attempt to create Guinness Book of World Records, the youth is going to organize a three-day exhibition ‘largest display of quilling hearts’ by making 20000+ quilling hearts at Lalit Kala Akademi near Nazrul Kalakshetra commencing from May 27.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 4 pm to 9 pm on May 27 and from10 am to 9 pm on May 28 and 29 respectively.
It was the Covid-19 lockdown period when the youth’s interest for the quilling art reached the highest level. His determination already brought him recognition. He regularly spends several hours for quilling artworks.
Recently, he told the media that the requirement for the artworks includes quilling sticks, quilling strips, and glue. According to Saha, the papers are coiled through quilling sticks before they are given final shapes in various forms including 2D and 3D designs.
