Speaking to reporters after the inspection, Noatia said the construction work would begin after completion of the required administrative procedures.
“It has been a long pending demand from the people of the constituency and Chief Minister after considering the genuine sentiments of the locals sanctioned a whopping sum of Rs 60 crore for construction of a new building for the police station. It is an old police station and I hope once this building comes up, the whole policing system will benefit,” said Noatia.
He said the government was continuing with infrastructure development initiatives aimed at improving public services and administrative facilities in the constituency.
Officials said discussions were held on site selection and other preliminary aspects related to the proposed construction.
The new building is expected to provide improved facilities for police personnel and enhance the delivery of services to the public, officials said.
