Russian Federation invited to Tripura business conclave

The Industries and Commerce Department of the Tripura government on Sunday said it held discussions with the Embassy of the Russian Federation to explore possible collaboration in multiple sectors ahead of the proposed Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026.

According to a post shared on the department’s official social media handle, the discussions covered areas including tourism, information technology, agro-processing, oil and gas, bamboo industries, healthcare, education and technology.

Secretary Industries and Commerce Department Kiran Gitte was present in the virtual meeting held at Agartala. 

The state government has also invited the Russian Federation to participate as the “Partner Country” at the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 scheduled to be held on July 9 and 10.

The department said the initiative was aimed at strengthening global partnerships and enhancing investment opportunities in the northeastern state.

It added that Tripura was emerging as an investment destination in Northeast India with growing focus on industry and infrastructure development.
