Sadar Police administration calls all-party meeting ahead of Tripura polls

Agartala Dec 02: Ahead of the Tripura assembly polls, the Sadar police administration conducted an all-party meeting on Friday.
The meeting was held in presence of Sadar SDPO Ajay Kumar Das, OC of two police station’s under Sadar and representatives of 6 political parties at the West Agartala Police Station.
With assembly elections drawing closer, all political parties have geared up on-field activities across the state.
Everyday, meetings, rallies and other party programs are held centering the assembly elections.
Similarly, reports of political violence are also received almost every day.
In order to ensure violence- free polls, Sadar police administration sought co-operation from all the political parties.
Later talking to the reporters, SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, “The meeting was conducted with representatives of all political parties including the ruling party to ensure that political violence, bloodshed is avoided in the Sadar area and the elections and its campaigning is done peacefully”.
He further added that, “In this situation, no political party will be allowed to conduct programs or protests without permission from the police administration”.
Strict action as per law will be taken in such situations, he added.
