The District Administration of North Tripura on Februray 2, 2026, formally launched Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 for Dasda and Damcherra RD Blocks, marking a significant step towards inclusive and time-bound development in the region. The programme was inaugurated at Damcherra RD Block in the presence of District Collector Chandni Chandran and public representatives, drawing wide participation from citizens and community groups.

The launch was marked by vibrant rallies led by school students, departmental stalls showcasing government initiatives, cultural performances, pledge-taking ceremonies, and a signature campaign. The atmosphere reflected strong grassroots involvement and the spirit of Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation), underscoring the collective resolve to transform the two blocks into “Inspirational Blocks.”

Officials highlighted that Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 aims to achieve saturation of key performance indicators across sectors such as education, health, sanitation, livelihood, and infrastructure. The initiative seeks to ensure that every household and individual in Dasda and Damcherra benefits from government schemes in a coordinated and time-bound manner.

Speaking at the event, District Collector Chandni Chandran emphasized the importance of community ownership in driving development. “This programme is not just about targets; it is about collective action and ensuring that no one is left behind,” she said, urging citizens to actively participate in monitoring and implementation.

Public representatives echoed the sentiment, stressing that the success of the campaign depends on cooperation between administration, local institutions, and residents. The cultural performances and student-led rallies symbolized the enthusiasm of the younger generation, while the pledge-taking ceremony reaffirmed the district’s commitment to holistic progress.

With the launch of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, Dasda and Damcherra are now poised to become models of inclusive development in Tripura, showcasing how coordinated governance and people’s participation can bring about meaningful change at the grassroots.
