The cricket tournament will start from August 5 next.

Addressing the media the club Secretary Ajit Debnath said apart from sports the club will take initiatives to mark the Har Ghar Tiranga programme from August 13 to August 15 next to celebrate the 75th Independence Day.

When asked about a Ranji Trophy player who played for the club in the tournament last year but joined another club this year allegedly by breaking the agreement signed between the club and the player for 2021-22 season, the club Secretary said, we wrote a letter to Tripura Cricket Association in this connection.

"We don't want to ruin a player's career but since the player had already spoken to some media houses about the matter and said he has not signed any contract with us, we are forced to give a clarification," Debnath told reporters.
