Senior IAS Officer Shantanu named CEO of Tripura Tribal Council

In a key administrative move, seasoned civil servant Shantanu, from the 1997 batch of the Tripura cadre, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). He is set to take charge at the council headquarters in Khumulwng shortly, succeeding Raval Hemendra Kumar, IAS, who previously held the post.

Shantanu, widely regarded as one of Tripura’s most experienced officers, has been serving on central deputation with the Government of India. His most recent assignment was as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), New Delhi, where he played a significant role in shaping policies for regional growth.

Officials expect his appointment to bring renewed energy to the council’s administration. With his extensive background in governance and development management, Shantanu is anticipated to strengthen coordination between state and central agencies, ensuring faster execution of welfare schemes and infrastructure projects across the tribal districts.
