Several NE parties to make joint statement at New Delhi

A group of political leaders from across North East India are set to announce a new political formation which shall promote greater regional alliance bringing all the major regional satraps under one roof. The announcement will be made on Tuesday at the Deputy Speaker Hall of the Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.
Among those addressing the press are Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) President Conrad K. Sangma, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarman, former BJP National Spokesperson and Nagaland Minister Mmhonlumo Kikon, and Daniel Langthasa, founder of the People’s Party, Assam. Several other senior leaders from various North Eastern states are also expected to join the event.
It should be noted here that Debbarman in his recent social media live streams often discussed the idea of bringing major regional parties under one roof to form a strong political combination which will speak, negotiate and bargain in one language for the entire region. It would also foster a suitable atmosphere for socio-cultural and linguistic protection of the indigenous communities living in the North East region.
