Agartala, Dec 28: The state committee of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Saturday marched on a protest rally here at Agartala to agitate against the police action on agitating farmers along the Delhi border.

SKM state committee leader Pabitra Kar, who led the rally, said that police has so far detained over 125 agitating farmers from Delhi border, following which Punjab farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal went to fast unto death, whose life is at risk now.

To agitate against the police action on the agitating farmers, the SKM is organising protest march across the nation and as part of this the state committee has organised the protest march here at Agartala.

Dallewal has been on a fast-unto-death at the Khanauri border between Punjab and Haryana since November 26 to press the Centre into accepting the agitating farmers' demands, including a legal guarantee of MSP on crops.
