
In a prompt action, Tripura Police on Sunday recovered a vehicle of KVK South Tripura that was reportedly stolen late on Saturday night.

According to police, the District Control received a message from South Tripura District Control Room on Sunday morning regarding the missing of a white colour Bolero vehicle bearing registration No- TR08-0921 belonging to KVK South Tripura from Manpathar under Santirbazar police station, South Tripura district.

Accordingly, Khowai District Police alerted all naka and intensified vehicle checking was carried out at all check posts in the district.

Later, at about 9 am, when SI Kasnarai Reang along with personnel from Mungiakami police station was conducting vehicle checking at 41 Miles Naka, a numberless white colour Bolero vehicle was spotted.Â

When the vehicle jumped the stop signal, creating suspicion, SI Kasnarai Reang along with staff started chasing the vehicle.
In the meantime, SI Kasnarai informed the matter to neighbouring police stations at Ambassa, Salema and Kamalpur.Â

Later, after a long chase at about 11 am, with the help of OC Salema PS and staff, the suspected vehicle along with the driver was detained at Mendi under Salema police station.

Initial verification revealed that the detained vehicle is the same Bolero vehicle of KVK South Tripura which was reported missing. Further verification is going on, police said.
