Agartala, Nov 13: The students should not think only about themselves; they need to have the mentality for delivering something good to the society, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a programme at Geetanjali Town Hall where 737 students, who cleared the board examinations from 10 schools in 2021-22, were felicitated.

He said, today’s students are the future of tomorrow. They need to have knowledge on various subjects so that they can go ahead by overcoming the challenges.

Dr. Saha encouraged the students to involve themselves in sports activities and advised them to respect their elders.

Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs- Sushanta Chowdhury said, nothing can be achieved through shortcuts. If any student fails to achieve anything in the first attempt, he/she needs to make another attempt to achieve success, Chowdhury said.

Principal of School of Science- Abhijit Bhattacharjee also addressed the programme. Vice-chairman of Ranirbazar Municipal Council Prabir Kumar Das presided over the programme while Khokan Debnath (teacher) delivered the welcome address.
