Super-30 selection test conducted in Tripura

With the joint initiative of School Education department and State Council for Education and Research Training (SCERT), the selection test for Super-30 2022 was held in the state on Sunday.
This year, as many as 1345 candidates appeared in the selection test in 25 centres across the state. As per the merit list, thirty students will get sponsorship under the scheme.
Tripura government has launched the Super-30 scheme in the Academic Year 2020-21. Under this scheme, the selected Madhyamik passed students, who are interested for Medical or Engineering studies, get coaching in the national-level institutes of their choice. They get coaching for JEE/ NEET preparations.
The selected students are given Rs. 2.40 lakh per year, according to a government press release.
As per the guidelines, the Super-30 students are selected through the selection test among the meritorious students from government, government-aided schools and Madrasas. The students with family income of less than Rs. 8 lakh get the benefits of this scheme as per 100-point reservation rules, the press release said.
This year, one reserved seat for Divyang candidate has been introduced for the first time.
