Charilam/ Agartala, Nov 24: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who inaugurated multiple programmes in Sepahijala district on Thursday, said ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ campaign is enabling the people to know about various government facilities and avail them easily.
He said, the state government’s goal is to deliver benefits of various government schemes up to the last man of the society. Earlier, the people were not that aware about the process to get various facilities.
As part of his visit to Sepahijala district, the Chief Minister inaugurated a new two-storied building of Konaban Class-XII School in Bishalgarh, inaugurated a Sushasan Mela and held interactions with the beneficiaries of various schemes. The new school building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 73.55 lakh.
In the programme, Dr. Saha gave a counter to Left Front’s allegation on ‘central deprivation’ during their tenure.
Dr. Saha said, when he was coming out after inaugurating a hospital at Madhupur, someone was saying that the hospital was built by the previous government.
He said, those who earlier used to raise a common allegation of ‘central deprivation’ to avoid development are the same people who are now campaigning hard saying that they did the development.
If they (previous government) were not given funds by the central government, how could they build such hospital buildings, the Chief Minister wondered.
The Chief Minister handed over cheques of Rs. 9 lakh to three beneficiaries under various schemes including Swabalamban. He also handed over Patta to five landless families of Kamalasagar tea garden.
Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Dutta, chairman of Bishalgarh Panchayat Samity- Chanda Debbarma, chairman of Tripura Tea Development Corporation Santosh Saha, Sepahijala District Magistrate Viswashree B., social activist and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and others were present.
School Education director N.C. Sharma delivered the welcome address and Pradhan of Konaban Gram Panchayat Rupali Dutta presided over the programme.
During his visit to Sepahijala, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a Post Harvest Management Centre and a Rural Collection Centre at Golaghati, new building of Madhupur Primary Health and Wellness Centre, newly-built Dr. Shyamaprasad Agri Market Shed and Stalls at Gokulnagar in Bishalgarh. He also paid a visit to Ramakrishna Mission at Konabon.
