Three critical among four injured in road accident

At least four persons were injured, three of them critically, in a road accident involving a timber-laden vehicle and two motorcycles in Khowai district on Monday morning.
The accident took place in the Chakmaghat area under Teliamura subdivision when a vehicle carrying wooden logs collided head-on with two motorcycles coming from the opposite direction. The impact of the collision left all four riders of the motorcycles seriously injured, according to preliminary reports.
Locals who witnessed the incident immediately alerted the fire and emergency services. A team from the Teliamura Fire Service rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations, shifting the injured to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
Following preliminary examination, the attending doctor referred three of the injured to GBP Hospital in Agartala after finding their condition critical. The fourth injured person is currently undergoing treatment at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital.
The identities of the injured persons were yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
