Describing TMP (Tipra Motha Party) as the Tipra Marpith Party, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha criticized Motha saying it understands nothing but violence and has redefined the meaning of politics. He added that in some areas, TMP miscreants have even resorted to firing.
The remarks came during a public rally in support of BJP’s nominated candidate Nirmal Debbarma for the Takarjala–Jampuijala constituency on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) upholds democracy and doesn't believe in violence.Â
He drew parallels between TMP in Tripura and TMC in West Bengal, stating both engage in politics of violence aimed at intimidating people.
Dr. Saha warned, “BJP is not afraid of threats or intimidation because the guardian of this party is Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Expressing confidence, he stated that a “Triple-Engine” government in ADC is inevitable and no one can stop it. He also vowed that once BJP forms the government, all irregularities and corruption will be addressed.
The rally saw significant participation from Janajati women. Notable attendees included Supriya Das Dutta, President of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad, among others. The Chief Minister urged people to vote for BJP on April 12 to secure a decisive victory.
After the rally, the Chief Minister personally welcomed 199 voters into the BJP fold.
