In a striking demonstration of technology-driven policing, the Airport Police Station in Agartala successfully recovered 28 mobile phones that had gone missing across different parts of the country, including Delhi, Bihar, and Rajasthan, and returned them to their rightful owners on Saturday.
The operation, hailed as a triumph of modern investigative methods, was carried out using scientific techniques and advanced technological tracking systems. Acting on multiple leads, police traced the locations of the missing devices and ensured their safe recovery.
The handover ceremony at the Airport Police Station brought visible relief to the owners, many of whom had lost hope of retrieving their phones. Expressing gratitude, they praised the police for their efficiency and commitment. “Getting back a lost phone is not just about recovering a gadget—it’s about reclaiming personal memories, data, and identity,” one recipient said.
Speaking to the media, SDPO (NCC) Subrata Barman detailed the operation, stressing that the police are consistently using technological tools to track and recover lost devices.
“This recovery of 28 mobile phones from different states is part of our ongoing efforts. We are committed to ensuring that citizens regain their property through systematic and scientific policing,” he said.
The event was attended by Airport Police Station In-Charge Shyamal Debnath along with other officers and staff. The recovered phones were formally handed over to their owners, with the initiative earning widespread appreciation from those present.
