Tripura all-rounder Manisankar Murasingh likely to play for India-A squad, Sushanta congratulates

Agartala, Aug 21: If everything goes well, Tripura’s ace all-rounder Manisankar Murasingh would soon be seen playing for India-A squad against New Zealand.
According to a Times of India report, Subham Gill is likely to lead the Indian A squad and the Tripura cricketer is likely to get a berth in the India- A squad for four-day games against New Zealand.
While an official announcement is yet to come from the BCCI, Tripura Sports minister Sushanta Chowdhury already congratulated Manisankar Murasingh soon after the report was published.
Chowdhury in his message wrote, the success achieved by Manisankar would definitely inspire the state’s cricketers and shine Tripura’s name in the international level.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb also congratulated the state’s player for this achievement.
As soon as the news hit the social media, the people in Tripura started pouring messages congratulating the young cricketer.
Two all-rounders from Tripura- Rajesh Banik and Tushar Saha had made it to the U-15 Indian team in 2001. The two cricketers from Tripura played the Asia Cup in Malaysia and the World Cup in England wearing the jersey of the Indian team.
Rizu Saha played as the first woman cricketer from Tripura in the Indian 'A' team against South Africa in 2014. She also played for Indian 'C' team in November last year.
