Tripura bikers reach Ladakh with Drugs-free India Campaign

Agartala, June 01: A group of Agartala based bikers has travelled to Ladakh with the mission to create awareness on Drugs- Free India.
The Awareness Bike Rally is an initiative by a group of young Agartala professionals from diverse fields led by Ayan Sharma that commenced on May 7 last. The group of seven bikers has reached Ladakh recently.
The initiative is to create awareness among the general public, specially the youth in preventing drugs abuse. It’s a campaign to popularise the consequences of drugs addiction and its use. Total 7 riders took part in the Awareness campaign.
On May 7 last, two riders from Agartala-- Ayan Sharma and Surajit Debnath started the journey.
After reaching Kolkata via Assam and Meghalaya another Agartala based rider Suvam Roy has joined the awareness ride.
On May 15, the three riders reached Delhi where four Agartala based riders Santanu Deb, Joypratap Biswas, Rana Chowdhury and Himadri Sekhar Das also joined the campaign.
During their journey to Ladakh via Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Kashmir they have stopped at various locations and engaged in awareness activities and interacted with local people including youths.
The bikers received overwhelming response during the journey. They are expected to come back to Agartala in the 3rd week of June.
